This forms part of a series of interactive webinars, commissioned by Birmingham and Solihull ICB, and provided by Birmingham Hospice in collaboration with Marie Curie and St Giles Hospice. Sessions are delivered by local palliative care experts.
Each live webinar is free to join and will enable you to share and learn from your own and other healthcare professionals’ experiences. The sessions will equip you with the tools and resources you need to confidently manage challenging situations that may arise when caring for patients with palliative care needs and their families.
This lecture will be open to all healthcare professionals but will have a focus on those working in care homes.
You can expect to learn:
- Common indicators of prognosis
- Five priorities of care for the dying person
- Practical management strategies
As part of our commitment to the NHS England comprehensive model of personalised care, these sessions will highlight the importance of shared decision-making and personalised care and support planning when working with patients and families.
