I am part of a team of counsellors who help people navigate the complexities of a palliative diagnosis and the challenges of grief and loss. An important part of my role is creating a safe, non-judgmental space that allows clients to express their feelings freely. Although emotional, the work is also incredibly rewarding, supporting another’s healing and growth as they work through their grief.
My job allows me to help people work towards rebuilding their life after loss, helping them to help themselves and it is a privilege to be part of their healing process. Prior to joining the hospice in 2022 I worked in the Palliative Care and Bereavement team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
